716 -835-7555 716 -835-7555 Our only limit... is your imagination STANDARD VACUUM THERMOFORMING Thermoforming is a simple process that starts with a flat sheet of extruded plastic as its raw material. That plastic is brought up to atemperature hot enough to make it formable. It is then either draped or drawn over a mold to create a specific shape. Standard Vacuum Thermoforming is a method that uses a solid mold vacuum to accomplish the forming. This allows for highly intricate shapes and designs. On the left is a 64” x 34” electronic game cover using 3/16” white material. The raw material is placed into the frame of our forming machine, where it is moved automatically into the heater element bay to bring it to temperature. The frame is then moved over a mold. The mold is moved up into the material and vacuum is pulled to draw the material against the mold and attain that shape. On the right is one of our automatic thermoformers. Utilizing templates, fixtures and computer controlled equipment to machine the formed part, the end result is not only very attractive, but highly functional as well. On the left is a novelty mask using 3/16” gold material. Please see our product gallery for many more examples of what we do.
